How Google Drive storage works
OTIS creates a folder called OTIS Intelligence Data in your Google Drive and stores all encrypted data there. The data is encrypted with your client key before upload — Google sees only encrypted ciphertext that is unreadable without your key.
During activation
Google Drive can be connected during the activation flow as your primary storage. Click Connect Google Drive, sign in with your Google account, and authorise OTIS.
After activation
If you want to switch to Google Drive from another storage provider, go to Settings, click Migrate storage, and select Google Drive. OTIS will copy all existing data to your Drive before switching.
Permissions granted
OTIS requests drive.file scope — access only to files it creates. It cannot read, modify, or delete any existing files in your Google Drive.
What you will see in Drive
A folder named OTIS Intelligence Data will appear in your Google Drive. Inside, you will find encrypted .enc files with names that correspond to environments and data types. Do not move, rename, or delete these files — OTIS needs them in their original location.
Google Workspace
Google Drive storage works with both personal Google accounts and Google Workspace accounts. For Workspace accounts, your administrator may need to approve the OTIS OAuth application under Admin Console > Security > API controls.
